INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter the "Regulation"), this page describes how the personal data of users consulting the Libera website (www.libera.it) are processed.

The Libera website (www.libera.it) respects the privacy of its users and is committed to protecting the personal data they provide. In general, the user can browse the site without providing any personal information. The collection and processing of personal data takes place, when necessary for Libera, in connection with the user's request for specific services, or when the user himself decides to communicate his personal data; in these circumstances, this privacy policy explains the manner and character of the collection and processing of the user's personal data. Libera processes personal data provided by users in accordance with current legislation. 

Collection of Personal Data 

By personal data we mean any information that can be used to identify an individual, company or other entity. Examples include, but are not limited to, first and last name, electronic mail (e-mail) address, address, postal or other physical address, and other information needed to contact you. At the same time, we collect the user's title, date of birth, gender, any personal interests, and any other information needed to provide the services requested by the user. 

Browsing the Libera site (www.libera.it) takes place anonymously, unless the user has registered. The site does not automatically collect data from the user. The site logs the user's IP address (Internet Protocol, i.e. the Internet address of the user's computer) in order to get an idea of the area of the site that the user visits and the duration of the visit, in compliance with current legislation on the protection of personal data. However, Libera does not associate the user's IP address with any other personal information relating to the user unless the user has been duly informed of its processing and has obtained his/her consent to its processing. Like many other websites of a service-oriented nature and content, Libera's website (www.libera.it) may employ a standard technology called "cookies" to collect information on how the user uses the site. For further information, the user is invited to refer to the following section "Cookies ". 

Libera collects the user's personal data when the user registers. In particular, registration is necessary for the user to make a donation, join the association, register for training and engagement camps, request information, and in general to participate in specific activities organised by the association. Libera uses this information only where it has been legitimately collected, in accordance with this Privacy Policy and in compliance with current legislation. 

Disclosure of Personal Data 

In the event that personal data is collected, Libera will inform the user of the purpose of the collection at the time of collection and, where necessary, request the user's consent. Libera will not disclose the User's Personal Data to third parties without the User's consent, except in the limited circumstances specified below in the Section "Scope of Disclosure and Dissemination of Personal Data". If the user decides to provide Libera with his or her personal data, Libera may disclose it to third parties that provide services for the site as part of their duties, and where necessary, with the user's permission. Libera will send the user information material on the activities of the association, promoting through these communications events, projects and all initiatives that may be of interest to him/her, only after having informed the user and obtained the user's consent to the processing, in accordance with the provisions in force regarding the protection of personal data. 

Purposes and Methods of Data Processing 

Libera processes the user's personal data for the following general purposes to satisfy requests about events, initiatives, projects, social campaigns and activities that are organised and other information that Libera considers to be of interest to the user; 

to better understand the user's needs and offer the user better services; 

The processing of the user's personal data by Libera for the purposes specified above is carried out in accordance with current legislation on the protection of personal data. 

Scope of Disclosure and Dissemination of Personal Data 

The user's personal data are not communicated outside of Libera without the consent of the person concerned, except as specified below. 

As part of the organisation of the site, data are stored in controlled servers to which limited access is permitted in accordance with current legislation on the protection of personal data. 

Libera may communicate the user's personal data to third parties in one of the following cases when the data subject has given his or her consent to the communication; when communication is necessary to provide the product or service requested by the user; the communication is necessary in relation to third parties who work on behalf of Libera to provide the product or service requested by the user (Libera will only communicate to these third parties the information that is necessary in relation to the provision of the service, and they are prohibited from processing the data for other purposes) 

to provide the user with information that Libera believes the user is interested in knowing about the association's activities (at any time the user may request to stop receiving this type of information). 

Libera will also disclose the user's personal information if required to do so by law. 

User Rights; User Account 

Users may request to be unsubscribed from the newsletter, to restrict the use of communications intended for them, or that all their data held by Libera be deleted simply by sending an email to the following address: privacy@libera.it 

Data Security 

Libera takes all the physical, electronic and organisational security measures and procedures required by current legislation. Although Libera does everything reasonably possible to protect the user's personal data, it cannot guarantee the complete and total security of data transmitted by users when communicating online, so Libera warmly invites users to take all precautionary measures to protect their personal data when surfing the Internet. For example, users are urged to change their passwords often, use a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure they surf with a secure browser. 

Minors and Privacy 

The Libera website is also intended for use by minors under the age of 18, as its content is purely educational and cultural. Libera therefore does not require the user's age when accessing the site. 

Third-party sites 

The Libera website contains links to other sites. Libera does not share users' personal data with these sites and is not responsible for their practices in relation to the protection and processing of personal data. Libera invites the user to read the privacy policies of these sites to find out how their personal data is processed and collected. 

Changes to the Privacy Policy 

Libera will amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. If Libera makes substantial changes to the way in which the user's personal information is processed, it will make this information available by posting a notice on its site.
